Grove of Hope is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization founded in Los Angeles, California, to provide science education in our surrounding neighborhoods and around the globe.  We believe that STEAM education and innovative scientific solutions provide people with the access to high earning jobs, improved living standards, and alternative solutions to many global challenges including but not limited to health, water management, agriculture, energy, and climate change.

Our  mission is to provide science and technology education to children so that they can understand, protect and manage the earth and the world around them thereby empowering them to contribute to the advancement of technology and sustainable development in their communities.

We strive to accomplish our mission by engaging and inspiring children to pursue science careers, providing teachers with the latest teaching methodologies and resources that will capture the imagination of their students, and demonstrating how innovative science applications and solutions contribute to sustainable community development.

Grove of Hope Leadership

Kamal Oudrhiri, President & Founder

Grove of Hope is led by some of the most talented minds in both science and education.  Our founder, Kamal Oudrhiri, has been promoting and providing STEAM education to children and educators for over 20 years.  In 2004, he formalized his commitment to STEAM education with the establishment of Grove of Hope. Kamal, a NASA scientist, strives to shrink the STEM skills gap by keeping the next generation engaged in a lifetime of science and discovery.  ‘

Grove of Hope has ties to leading experts in all fields of science, technology, and education.  This distinctive access enables us to tap into the latest scientific events and discoveries on a near real-time basis and recombine them into meaningful and lasting educational experiences from our hands-on science curriculum to our university educational lectures and exchanges.  Over the past decade, countless science experts from NASA and other top institutions have generously volunteered their time to Grove of Hope in both behind the scenes curriculum development and in public outreach exchanges. Through Kamal’s leadership, Grove of Hope continues to inspire students, of all ages, to reach for the stars.
